Overveiw:
So what is TAS about? As can be gathered by the first and second chapters, a great war was ravaging the land 500 years ago and our five now-female protagonists who were originally male are somehow mixed up in the mess and in some way involved with Karion, the "Lord of Death". The question now remains, what purpose do our protagonists serve in the story, and how will they accomplish their goals with Karion hot on their heels? For that matter, where are they, why are they now female, and who is the strange girl who will provide them with insight into their new world?
Chapters 3-5: The story
delves into the past as the characters remember meeting each other and
being sealed in the cave. At the end of the flashback they are
discovered by a human girl living in the cave who agrees to help them
pretend to be human in order to search for the Jewels of Power in the
human world. The story wraps up as a shocking discovery is made about
Kao's connection with Karion and the realization that Kharm, Karion's
brother, is also after them.
Keep checking for updates, and look forward to the
introduction of a new character! Is he good or bad, and why does Karion
hate him so much? Wait, they've met him BEFORE?!

August 17, 2008: Wow, seriously, another month? Man, I need to work on my time awareness...So for those of you who continue to follow this--I love you. Okay, that aside, things are going smoothly but slowly. Who knew it took this much time? *sigh* Anyway, I have the whole thing scanned into my computer and I'm touching up and toning chapter 3 now, I almost there!
July 22, 2008: Dang...has it really been a month since my last post? Okay, well, the comic show was canceled, so I will be selling my books at the November 1st anime convention. Probably just as well, I'm a little behind.
June 27, 2008: Sorry ye few but faithful, I've been neglecting my website, but you'll be glad to know why ^-^. I finished chapter 3, then finished chapter 4 in record time (2 and 1/2 days!), and am now part way through chapter 5, *phew*. Chapter 5 is the conclusion to the first volume, and will be finished being sketched this Saturday. Other than that, the background artist is back in town and has started backgrounds in chapter 3. I know it's a little ambitious, but we plan to have the book entirely inked and completed by July 5. I will then devote ALL my time to finishing IB Reality and send both in to the printing company before I leave town for Nationals (gah!). Then I will return and sell these books August 9, at my booth at the comic show and they will become available for order around that time.
June 16, 2008: Wouldn't you know it? The background artist has been out of town all month (no wonder she wasn't answering her phone, lol). And I should've known that, she only told me about 10 times...oh, well. Chapter 3 has progressed nicely, but is on slight delay for her return. She will be back around June 20.
June 9, 2008: Yeah...I'm not going to make this deadline, oops, college orientation really messed that up... but I added a sketch to the site ^-^, ignore the low quality ^.^;;;.
June 3, 2008: Well...I had hoped to get chapter 3 finished by June 10, but it's gonna be tough, we still haven't finished writing it yet ^-^;;;.
May 24, 2008: Chapter 3 is now in progress! It's gonna be a long one though... lots of information to cover.
May 7, 2008: Okay, it has been decided, TAS is going to be published. When? I'm not sure yet, probably near the beginning of the summer (most likely mid June). Once it is published it will be available for purchase here at drawnbyvaughn.com
May 4, 2008: Wow! After 4 years of planning, TAS has finally made it to book format! I'd like to thank all of our supporters at the Comic Book Expo this weekend, and all my collaborators for putting up with me.
Anyway, work on the second issue (chapters 3 and 4) will commence shortly, and I hope to have it finished before June 10th.
